Ideal Protein Protocol – Why it works

Many of us are so tired of hearing about the word DIET.  Anyone think that it is concerning that the word DIE is actually mixed in there?    That said, there are also many, hundreds, thousands of people who struggle with their weight.  Some people have a small amount of weight to lose , others are suffering from obesity.  It really doesn’t matter what your number is….the process is of losing weight shares some common threads no matter how small or large the number you need to shift.

After much research, the Evan’s Weight Loss Group and Enfuse Med Spa have incorporated a new protocol into the practices.  The protocol is referred to as the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Protocol.  This protocol was developed in France by a doctor named Dr. Tran Tien Chanh, who focused his career and research on nutrition with a particular emphasis on the treatment of obesity and obesity related issues.

The Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method is a low maintenance, easy to follow 4-phase protocol which helps stabilize the pancreas and blood sugar levels while burning fat and maintaining muscle and other lean tissue. This protocol is also an excellent support for cellulite reduction and has been used in well over 2500 Professional Establishments in North America over the last eight years with great success.

Our dieters come to us for an initial consultation which includes a thorough health history profile, blood work and EKG for patients with Metabolic X Syndrome and an education on the protocol.  Getting started is incredibly easy.  After the consult, you can start Phase I.

Here’s the scoop on Phase 1.  The goal here is to get your body into a state of Ketosis.  

What is Ketosis?

Ketosis simply put, means that our bodies are using fat for energy. Ketones (also called ketone bodies) are molecules generated during fat metabolism, whether from the fat in the nuts you just ate or fat you were carrying around your middle.

So, how do we get our bodies into a state of Ketosis with this protocol?  We limit your carb intake and eliminate all forms of sugar.  After roughly 3 days, your body will have processed through glycogen (sugar) reserves and will move into the next stage.  You will know you have reached this phase because you will have a TON of energy and literally no cravings for sugar.

Here’s where the Ideal Protein program comes in…..  Without Glucose (sugar), our bodies look for the next best thing to use as energy…our MUSCLES!  If you have ever tried another low-calorie diet, you may have noticed that although you were losing weight, you were also losing tone and noticing soft, flabby skin.  This is no good.  Muscle is our best friend when it comes to losing weight as the more muscle we have, the faster our bodies burn fat.  Dr. Chanh was interested in helping elite athletes get their bodies in prime condition – which is how he developed the concept of incorporating protein isolates into this protocol as a way of sparing your muscles.

During Phase 1 of this protocol, you will consume 3 packs of protein isolate per day in addition to 4 cups of vegetables and 8 ounces of lean protein.  It is that easy.
