Zerona
Zerona is a patented low-level laser system designed to remove fat and improve body contours without any pain gels, creams, needles, uncomfortable tissue manipulation by a technician surgery, Zerona is also used pre and post liposuction and breast implant surgery to improve healing and minimize swelling, pain and discomfort.
How does the Zerona low-level laser system work?
The laser emulsifies fat within fat cells which is then released through the cell walls into the interstitial space without injuring the cells. The interstitial fat is removed through the body during the normal course of fat metabolism.
What clinical support do you have for the Zerona body slimming procedure?
The Zerona body slimming procedure was proven effective through a double-blind, randomized, multi-site, and placebo-controlled study in which patients lost an average of 3.64 inches from their waist, hips and thighs. These results were dramatic compared to the placebo group which only lost an average of a .5 inch.
How does the emulsified fat secrete from the fat (adipose) cell?
Once stimulated by the Zerona low-level laser, the adipose (fat) cell forms a transitory pore in the bi-lipid fat cell membrane. The pore development as a response to the Zerona laser is not damaging to the cell, and simply serves to allow the fatty content to evacuate the cell. This process has been documented by electron licroscopy.
How long is the treatment session?
Each treatment session is 40 minutes – 20 minutes on the front of the body and 20 minutes on the back.
Will every patient see results from the body slimming procedure?
In our clinical research the average patient saw a 3.46 reduction in inches off hips, waist and thighs (see below for more information on our clinical research). Not every patient will respond or achieve as significant results, which is why a consultation to discuss medical or lifestyle limitations as well as patient expectations is very important in order to manage expectations.
What areas of the body can be treated?
The Zerona treatments can be done effectively on essentially any part of the body where there are localized subcutaneous deposits of fat, especially those that are resistant to diet and exercise. Most patients start with trimming the waist, hips and tops of thighs.
